Mr. Poon is the Chief Nurse Executive of the Hospital Authority with effect from 1 March 2017.  Mr Poon is an experienced nurse executive. He is now leading almost 30,000 nurses of Hospital Authority at all ranks and is responsible for overall leadership, direction, strategic planning and policy development in nursing education, professional developing, nursing management and nursing practice.

Development and Transformation of Advanced Practice Nursing

The past year has been tough for the world, nurses from every corner of the world experienced something which is “unprecedented” in the healthcare history.  We wish it never happened, or better yet, that we simply delete 2020 out of existence and move on. Such unprecedented situation still exists. But it is not all doom and gloom.  From the past 16 months, we did see the beauty of our healthcare workers.  Particularly, we can see our nurses across all service sectors in Hong Kong did make a Difference in Fighting the Battle of COVID-19.
