About the Conference

First International Advanced Practice Nursing Conference (IAPNC) with the theme “Nurses and Midwives – Catalyst for a Brighter Future in Health” is organized by the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing (HKAN), in collaboration with Department of Health, Hospital Authority, Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Open University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Tung Wah College and Caritas Institute of Higher Education.

As COVID-19 continues to threaten human health across the world without signs of abating in the second half of 2020, the Organizing Committee has decided to hold the IAPNC in a FULLY VIRTUAL format on 22-23 May 2021.  The 2-day conference features keynote and plenary lectures as well as panel discussion and round table discussion.

The event is expected to attract over 500 participants from around the world. It proudly distinguishes itself among others as a converted and interactive platform for leading academics, specialty nursing and midwifery experts and policy makers from around the world to share their nursing excellences in advanced nursing practice as well as open the ways in developing, enhancing, shaping and advancing health in future. Another highlight of our conference will be the sharing and latest update from global nursing leaders on the critical roles of nurses in addressing global health challenges i.e. managing the Covid-19 pandemics in 2020.  Best oral and poster presentation awards will be offered to participants to encourage evidence-based practice and research. The Conference will also provide exceptional opportunities for interacting both professionally and socially.

We look forward to seeing you at the first IAPNC!
